QUICK ANSWERS

PWD ID Frequently Asked Questions

Still have questions? Here are a few helpful answers before you contact PDAO.

01 Can I use my Davao City PWD ID anywhere in the Philippines?

Yes. A valid PWD ID issued by your local government is recognized nationwide for qualifying benefits under Philippine law.

02 Can a child get a PWD ID?

Yes. Eligible children can be registered. A parent or guardian may assist with the application and required documents.

03 Do I need a National ID number to register?

No. The 2026 Unified PWD ID policy says that not having a PhilSys number must not prevent an eligible applicant from registering.

04 Can someone buy groceries for me using my PWD discount?

Yes, through an authorized representative. For the special grocery discount, prepare a signed authorization letter, the required IDs and purchase booklet. The letter is valid for seven days.

05 Can I use both PWD and Senior Citizen discounts?

Not on the same purchase. If you qualify for both, you may use either your PWD ID or Senior Citizen ID to claim the applicable 20% discount, but the discounts cannot be added together.

06 What if a business refuses my PWD discount?

Ask why the discount was refused and keep your receipt or transaction details. Contact Davao City PDAO for assistance with your complaint.
